Terms of Service
By adding Echo to your Discord server or using its commands, you agree to these terms.
What Echo does
Echo is a Discord bot that, when explicitly started with /echo start,
can join a voice channel and — only for members who opt in — transcribe what is
said and generate a text summary. Full details of how recording and consent work
are in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
- You must have the right to use Echo in any server you add it to, and must not use it to record anyone without their explicit consent via the opt-in flow.
- You may not use Echo to violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- You may not use Echo to record or process illegal content, harass others, or circumvent another person's refusal to be recorded.
No warranty
Echo is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Transcripts and summaries are generated by third-party AI services and may contain errors. Don't rely on them as an exact or complete record of what was said.
Availability
Echo is an independent project and may be modified, limited, or discontinued at any time without notice.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the project evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised through Echo's support server, linked from the bot's Discord profile.
